Sono molto stanca. Se saresti aggravante... silenzio! [And you can't pick on my Italian grammar!]

Stressed + distressed = a very bad mood.

HU-whaaAAaaaat?? You are a rabid Zutara??! Sorry, but we can't be friends anymore. Or we can't be friends, ever. Whichever applies.

I find it disturbing that there is such a huge number of Zutara fans. Is this the actual state of the world, or is it correct that the Internet is ruled by stupidity strangeness? If it is the latter... WTF am I [and my friends] doing spending so much time online?!

Does the word 'canon' mean anything to these people, or is it just a word that sounds like an ancient weapon but spelled slightly differently?

Personal preferences I can understand. If you like Zutara... well, what can we do about it? It's a disease you'll have to live with personal preference. But if you think Zutara will definitely happen... well... *insert eyeroll here*

Technically, it can happen. Heck, technically, the writers can surprise us by having Aangko make-out scenes the next episode and give them biological children--it's fictional, and they can do anything with it, should they choose to.

But why should they? Why wouldn't they go with the Hero-ship that they've been building up since "The Boy in the Iceberg"?

I have never seen a sound defense for this ship that directly refers to events in the series, instead of stretched theories: yin-yang, water calming fire, Zuko needs so-and-so type of girl, etcetera.

And then there's how so many of their taglines/reasons/beliefs just crack me up badly [in a bad way].

> "They are Romeo and Juliet--my only love sprung from my only hate!" [That only applies when you actually love what sprung from your only hate.]
> "Forbidden love is always better!" [You are really just a rebellious child who doesn't know anything about relationships, aren't you?]
> "Zutara and Taang will win! Don't believe in those Kataang moments!" [When the inevitable probable happens, it would be nice to see somebody rub it in your face... but I know they'll all be taking the high road.]
> "I'll always believe in Zutara, no matter how many Kataang 'evidences' those creators throw at me!" [You poor thing! No really, I mean it. Outright ignoring canon and blaming the authors... what has your ship done to you?]
> "Zutara is healing love." [Katara is a healer. Zuko needs healing, but who says he can't do it for himself? And since when did anything related to love had anything to do with Zutara?]
> "Mai won't be good for Zuko." [Ooh, Zutara and Soko standing united! And I'm SO sure that the girl he has shared only antagonism--aside from one strike in unison, but not necessarily in cooperation, with two other people--with is the perfect match for him. Or else a little peasant girl who only appeared for five minutes. /sarcasm]
> "Mai is too emo for Zuko." [Something they share with the Soko shippers. I say this... did you know that 'emo' is short for 'emotional'? Since when did a person who hides their emotions came to be considered 'emotional'?]
> "Katara is motherly to Aang, not loverly." [Oh but you want her to treat Zuko the same way, only then, you'll call it "supportive" instead of "motherly".]
> "Theirs is a love that will stand against all odds." [They have only odds and no love.]
> "If other ships like Kataang, Maiko or Soko happens, it would destroy the series." [No, what would destroy the series is if the very connections that have been set up and built up--that would be Kataang, and on a much lower degree, Maiko and Sukka--were to be scrapped for something like Zutara or Taang.]
> "In case Zutara doesn't happen, my back-up ships are Maiko and Kataang." [This is the reverse of somebody who, in a college application, puts in a non-quota course as a first choice and quota courses as second and third choices. But it has about as much sense.]
> "I hate it when Kataang supporters use that 'why should Katara choose to love a prince of the nation who killed her mother' argument, it's so overused." [You hate it because it's an effective argument.]
> "Aang is a twelve year-old monk--he's too young to fall in love, and he shouldn't be getting a girlfriend anyway." [Yet you conveniently set aside that argument when Toph comes into the picture, shoving Aang with her because they're such a 'perfect match', and they're both twelve year-olds!]
> "Aang is too busy being the Avatar to be with girls." [And I'm so sure Zuko isn't too busy with his issues and angst to go out of his way to fall in love and pursue a peasant girl. And that Aang wouldn't be 'too busy' if the girl happens to be Toph.]

and the winner...

"Why would Katara choose a kid like Aang, when she can make-out with a hot guy like Zuko??" [Maybe because Katara isn't a shallow, horny teenager like you!]

And if you support Soko--wake up. Zuko won't be matched with a five-minute peasant. It's not a Cinderella story, because as I have said before, Cinderella was a proper young lady who can match with a prince, not a random peasant girl. Now if Song comes back, sure go ahead. But her importance [or in this case, non-importance] just makes the ship so fricken hilarious [in a so not-good way]. I mean, in the Nick site, she doesn't have a bio, her house didn't make it to the new locations, and her name isn't mentioned anywhere. [Or did I not look hard enough?] The entire ship is based on a bunch of half-arsed speculations, from what happened after their little dialogue ["Oh they must have talked some more, and there were blushes and Zuko opening up somewhat!!"] to Song's character ["She seems kind and gentle. I think she wouldn't mind it if she finds out that Zuko is from the Fire Nation."]. Zuko/OC, Zuko/Song... what's the difference, when Song's 'character' is practically just invented?

The words 'canon love interest' don't mean anything in the world of shipping anymore. I can already see Aang and Mai talking...

Aang: But... I don't understand! Why do they doubt my love for Katara?! [T____T]
Mai: You think that's bad? I've been holding a torch for Zuko since before the word 'puberty' meant anything to me, and practically everyone ignores that fact.
Aang: But I'm the title character! My ship should be more popular than Zuko's ship--that doesn't even have a canon basis! [=<]
Mai: At least you didn't get booed at Comic-Con.
Aang: What, Maizu got booed?
Mai: It's MAIKO. And yes, it did.
Aang: That's so harsh!! Would a hug make you feel better?
Mai: [-_-;] Please don't. It's bad enough that the ship I ship doesn't get support, it would be even worse if I start to get shipped with a twelve year-old Air nomad.
