Make It Or Break It is definitely not making it for me...

...So after honestly giving it chance after chance after chance, I'm finally considering not watching ABC Family's teen sports drama Make It or Break It. The straw that finally broke the camel's back is the ridiculous turn of events that began from last week episode. Like I told my friend after I watched last week's surprising episode, "If I wanted a story about teen pregnancy, I would still be watching Secret Life." Why is ABC Family so obsessed with teen pregnancy nowadays and glorifying it so much. Yes, I get that Chelsea Hobbs is pregnant in real life but why does that mean her character Emily Kmetko has to be pregnant too? Are they really saying there was no other way to spin the actress's pregnancy in a way that did not involve changing the character's life so drastically? Couldn't they make it so Emily would go on a special training session and come back all bad-ass after Chelsea Hobbs had given birth in real life?

I'm really disappointed because this was one of the few shows on ABC Family that I actually enjoyed because I thought it wouldn't go into that territory. Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against using the media to educate people about teen pregnancy but do all shows have to do that? Especially on one channel? I mean, Secret Life and Make It or Break It are essentially telling the same story now, especially now that Keely and Damon seem to have a thing going on while he's the father of Emily's baby.

...I guess it's no use crying over split milk. I think I'll check in for one more episode and check out if I really can't take it :(
