Chronicles of Narnia
Just finished re-reading the series. I read them as a kid. And I finally got around to re-reading it towards the end of this semester because I was sick of wondering/being angry at just how far off the movies are from the books.
Lots of things I had forgotten were pretty cool, and lots of things that I had remembered made more sense after reading the whole series again. As a kid, I sometimes thought it was a pretty weird jumble of stories with magic and lame things happening. As an adult, the parallels and life lessons were more obvious, obviously. So overall I'm glad that I read them again despite my lack of religiousness nowadays.
