“Grim Tidings”
The asshole, Jack had thought as he gazed down at Kinsey’s broken and battered body. He deserved to die.
But he didn’t deserve what Daniel had done to him, Jack conceded. The late Vice President had many lightning burns and several cauterized lightsaber cuts all over his face, torso, and limbs, and worst of all… Janet had reported that every single bone in his body had been snapped in two, one by one.
Sam and Teal’c agreed: it was the worst thing that could’ve happened to Kinsey, even if they hated him.
Jack sat now in the infirmary, next to Luke, who was perfectly silent as they watched Janet prepare to cremate Kinsey. It had been a grim sight when they entered the infirmary for the first time that morning. And as they stared at the body, they all wondered how Daniel could’ve fallen so far, and what his motives were.
Now Jack thought he knew.
Revenge.
It was revenge that Daniel wanted, and who could blame him? Kinsey had tried too many times to shut down the SGC, and they had all had enough of him.
But still, it had been an incredibly grim sight.
As Janet began cremating Kinsey, Jack stared at the leaping flames and wondered just what Daniel had planned next.
