Why is it just about every discussion of "strong female characters" I see, I come out of it feeling like it doesn't matter how well a character is written, fandom will still hate her and insist she's bad in some way?

I was going to point out that people bitching about Narnia for its religious themes maybe contaiminating them is no different than the extreme Christians bitching about HP for its magic and devil-worship contaminating them, but Cat got there first.
