The upside to this deployment

So my husband has been deployed since June and has been outside the states since September - he's in Iraq *pouts*. And of course that means we don't get to talk as much as I would like, although more often then some others have lamented getting to talk to their service members. I don't post here often, but I read everything that everyone says, and

well, he's National Guard and this isn't the state drill weekend so if he were here he'd be able to go. But yes, I am gonna walk, we're actually going to record it and send it to him, as well as get lots of pictures.

ya know, as sad as it is, I kinda miss BDU's... (I was in the army for 7 years - got out just before they woulda issued the ACUs to me)... but only kinda.
