So yesterday was simultaneously crappy and great. To start with, I got a soccer ball to the eye in my indoor soccer class. It knocked my glasses off my face and gave me a little line of bruise around my eye. But hey, it was a good save (I was playing keep which I'm crap at).
I got a speeding ticket (I was seriously speeding). I'll have two points on my license when I pay the $125 fine (other wise I'd have to go to court and have the possibility of having four points on my license). Yikes. Can I blame it on NPR? I was listening to this really cool story about this blind climber from Golden (the first blind person to summit Everest) who took six blind Indian children to climb a mountain. The documentary sounds really interesting (Blind Sight). But I can't really blame NPR. I was just not paying attention which is bad. At least it was before lunch, because Golden High School (which I was driving near) has an open campus lunch.
Then right after I got my ticket, I went and gave blood. And it was the pint that marked my 2 gallon donation point. So I was really happy to get my 2 gallon pin to mark the occasion. But I felt really poorly the rest of the day, which really put a dent in my o-chem study plans. Since I was feeling crappy, I just lay in bed the rest of the day and read/finished the Torchwood book that I obsessively bought after finishing the last episode on Sunday.
So there we go. So far today is better. I kicked ass on my ochem quiz even though I've barely begun to study for the test tomorrow. Still haven't heard from any other universities. grrr. Well, back to studying for now...
