Piper was sitting on her porch, deciding if the restaurant needed any new items on the menu, when she spotted Isabel across the street. She wandered over and smiled. "Glad to see you're awake."
On her way home from work, Lana saw Isabel sitting outside. She hesitated, then made her way over. "Hey," she said. "I had this really weird dream that you were in."
"Yeah, about that," Isabel sighed. "Sorry. Whatever was going on last week kind of took me along for the ride and I couldn't control what I was doing."
"One of my alien tricks is the ability to get into people's dreams," she explained. "Normally it takes a picture or touching someone, but this time..."
Wyatt hadn't been able to get Isabel out of his head since she'd popped up in his dreams. He'd dreamed of Isabel before in the past few years, but it had never really been her, just memories or wishful thinking or her throwing herself at him in some sort of sordid, ego-boosting revenge fantasy.
Tracking her down hadn't been hard; she'd made no secret of her relocation to this "Milieux" place. He wrestled with the idea of confronting her for hours, then finally gave in.
So that would be him, orbing in front of #43 Blueberry Hill, drawn to Isabel's exact location by some higher force. Or he just got lucky.
Isabel was deeply involved in a conversation with a vendor about china and linen rentals and only briefly glanced up for a moment before turning her attention back to the conversation.
Then her brain actually processed who it was.
The double take was rather comic.
"Listen, I need to go. I'll call you back tomorrow and you'd better have the right answer for me."
