I don't watch TV much, preferring to find out news on Internet, and so while I am aware about forest-fire situation, I never paid much attention to what officials say they are doing. But yesterday father wanted someone to rant at and I was readily availiable. One of the things he said had my jaw dropping on the floor - up until recently MChS (Ministry of Emergency Situations) firefighters were putting out fires only during work hours and decision to switch to round-o'clock work was made only on 7th.
When I went digging through news sites today, it seems like it is true... Given how things are done in this country, I probably shouldn't be this shocked.
