I'll  try to post pictures from my trip home pretty soon. It features Tim's first experince with a White Castle (He loves Krystal sliders, so I thought I'd introduce him to the delicacy that started it all...), our visit to the original KFC and pictures of my hometown post office (which is literally the size of a parking space) and the infamous "John Deere Deer."

But, since I haven't bothered to upload those guys yet, I thought I'd take a moment to blog about something else. I haven't writte much about Therion, though he's been growing like a weed these past couple of months and actually looks like an adult cat. He has round yellow eyes and seems to be  pretty smart. In fact, he loves to play fetch. He sits between my desk and the trash can, which also features the warm cable modem, and waits for the sound of crumpling paper. The rule is- if it hits the floor, it's his, and if it makes it into the trash can, it stays there.  Sometimes,if he's feeling froggy, he'll drop the paper ball near your feet and give a little meow, then want paitently for you to throw it. After he brings it back, in true cat style, he flops on the floor while he's waiting, lest he waste any energy. However, like a dog, Therion can also be "faked out" and follows the course of the unthrown ball... and also, like a dog, he catches on after the first time and doesn't move quite so fast. It's entertainment for the whole family, as Alathea, who is not exactly the brightest blub in the socket, is throughly confused by this game and really just wishes we would feed her some dinner.. or some more dinner... or how about a snack?

:) Meow
