...hope Sonic is okay...I wanna help him take out Eggman, but...I gotta get the security measures for the Master Emerald set up before anything else...with Eggman skulking around again, and the Chaos Emeralds missing, the Master Emerald is in real danger...

But as long as Knuckles and Sonic are around and I'm helping them, he won't get their hands on it! Or the Chaos Emeralds!
