I have the bestest friends! :DDDD
I got the most amazing mail over the last couple of days. Thank you so much loza346, sunsetmog and anna_luna for the christmas cards! They're lovely and I've put them up on my wall and they make me smile whenever they catch my eye :DDD (Anna, can I post a picture of yours? It's too damn adorable not to share!)
They also made me laugh because my mom is getting increasingly surprised and envious that I'm getting mail from all over the world. Today she handed me my letters going "JAPAN?! How do you know so many people?" and shook her head at me when I said "the internet".
Today I had my first appointment with a consultant guy who helps people with cover letter, resumes and some other aspects of job search and it was so helpful I wanted to hug the by the end of it. I can have two more of these meetings for free through the employment agency and I'm definitely planning to make use of them. He offered to look over my next finished application (for my absolute dream job in Berlin) before I send it off and had some great constructive feedback for improving my resume.
I had lunch at Subway and was delighted to find out that they sell Mountain Dew. In bottles only, but still. It was my favorite American drink ever so of course I bought one but somehow it tasted better in my memory :(
