Ugh
Virtually sleepless night. She cried for hours and hours.
I didn’t come here to bitch about that, however. I came to vent about Chris. Whenever he is under stress - even from a good thing, like his new job - he turns into a bear. A totally irrational insane bear. To wit, check out the incredibly weird argument we had.
Chris was talking directly to Alex and mentioned someone being “knocked up.” I gave him a look, to say “why the hell would you talk to our child like that?!” Chris was not receptive to my questioning him about whether he wants Alex walking around talking like that.
So then, for inexplicable reasons, he brings up our #%!@$ coffeemaker, a ridiculous bone of contention in our relationship. When I make coffee I have to slide out the coffee maker to the pour the water in and I almost always forget to push it back in. This drives him batty and has for years. I can’t for the life of me figure out WHY. It really annoys me that he bugs me about it. Well, he brings this up as an example of something that is “important” to him that I completely disregard, so why should he yield to my thinking about appropriate language to use around a child?
ARRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!
