THIS IS SO GREAT. SO, SO, SO.

I would keep expressing my happiness in capslock, but that's annoying, so please know that my every thought regarding this story is basically represented best by a giant: !!!!!!!!!

I love fic like this A LOT. More than, say, any kind of epic that is both lyrical and beautiful and deep and woven with overly stylized metaphors. Barf, no thanks! However, a story that can be taken straight out of canon with ease? MY FAVORITE. And this was so realistic and wonderfully in character, and I love-love-love that Jeff was so bored by the idea of Annie missing while everyone else flipped out--

(This line was hilarious: In a completely unprecedented move, Pierce is the one voice of reason. “Oh, please,” he says loudly. “I don’t answer my phone half the time - do you all think I’m dead when I don’t answer?” SO GOOD!)

--and the ending! Aw! It doesn't even ping my fluff-detector, it feels nice and right.

This is SO wonderful. I had a ridiculously silly grin on my face the entire time. Everyone sounded just right and I love that it totally fits canon and it is so sweet without ever veering toward saccharine-y AT ALL. I find that an impossible line to walk myself and you do it beautifully. And the end is perfect. Seriously, so great.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the ending - I was afraid I had wrapped it up a bit too quick, but it seemed to work well enough. It is a hard line to walk, and unfortunately, I feel like I cross it most of the time, lol.

Ok, this? Is probably one of my favorite J/A fics out there. Everyone was in character and this entire scenario would fit so easily into canon and....I don't even know what else to say. Love this so much.
