I've been MIA

I spent most of my maternity leave on a job hunting frenzy.  I just made the decision i was NOT going back to my old job and facing unemployment with a new baby really got me motivated to do what I needed to do. I went on SO many interviews, sometimes up to four in a day . It was ROUGH for a while. Some days I didnt know who i was meeting with or for what. But it all worked out. I even ended up with multiple offers and had to retract one acceptance at the last minute to take my dream job!

I went back to work on 4/19. The job is very different form what I'd been doing in the past and I'm learning something new everyday. I have flexible hours, 100% paid benes , the option to work from home at times and  a great work enviornment. I've taken to calling this the beer job because the company pays for and stocks the kitchen fridge with te beer of your choice. The work enviornment is insanely relaxed but im working with such highly intelligent people its scary at times.

I'm extremely happy with how things worked out and the increase in income didnt hurt either.
We hired a live-out nanny for Malcolm. We are feeling really blessed. Ms C is working out really well. Mal is already developing some attachment to her and I'm feeing more and more at ease at work. She comes early everyday and stays until we come in at night.
We're still adjusting to being new parents but having an extra set of hands to take care of my sweet pea and do light housekeeping makes it almost too easy.

Malcolm is phenominal! He is growing and thriving. He's changing everyday  and he's been really good to mommy and daddy. He's been sleeping through the night for over a month. This week he's been sleeping for 10 hours straight and I have to wake him up to have breakfast before I leave for work.
He is still on breastmilk 100% of the time--So far so good with supply and pumping while Im at work. Mal was 9lbs 1 oz at his 2 month well baby visit . He's since acquired some extra rolls in his thighs so i cant wait to see what e weighs in at now.

We're doing a private dedication for him at my stepdad's church Memorial Day weekend so Im working on that and a reception at the house to follow. I still have quite a few kinks to wok out with catering but the invites go out this week. 96 people and I cant find one more name I can justify taking off *sigh*
Im praying for 50.

I have a TON of things I want to get done around the house before the reception and Ive only got 3 free weekends left before memorial day.

Brother Malcolm doesnt want me to finish this post so I'll just throw in some recent pics... be back soon!
