Newark Liberty Airport. A special type of Hell.
After some mechanical delays on the runway at Newark Airport, my flight took off about an hour later than planned. That was perhaps the most problems I had in the last week of traveling for work. Because I'm not counting that little fiasco of losing both my car-rental keys or the house keys to Ernie and Greg's on Friday. I don't look back, only forward. Anyway, returning to my flight last night, I landed around 8pm, grabbed my luggage, and was home in a taxi right around 9pm.
I got in my car and immediately picked up Boomer from Bob (
aries470 ) and Joe (
jbear70 ). Thanks to both of them, especially Bob, for watching her while I was gone. Then, I grabbed a whole bunch of White Castle, a super sized chocolate shake, and pigged out while I downloaded the demo of Resident Evil 5, which will be fully released this upcoming March. Boomer rested on the couch and I used her head as a pillow while I checked the demo out, blasting zombies and such. She was content to sniff my hair and work on ripping out the guts of one of her many chew toys. I'm sure she was smelling Cooper the Dog in my hair and clothes, but because she's not the jealous type I didn't even get a hurtful look! Within an hour, I wasn't able to stay awake so I was in bed with the lights off and the dog on the pillow next to me by 11:15pm. It was good to be back home.
