gift exchange 2006
we're less than one month away from the department holiday luncheon and gift exchange. given that some of the people i work with are usually rather uptight, i look forward to this event as a release of sort from the stick-up-my-ass syndrome. how?
gag gifts!!!!
normally, this would be tough to pull off because:
(1) everyone adheres to the strict 5-item wishlist that we each submit before drawing names (boring!)
(2) the stick-up-my-ass folks are generally vicious if they do not get a gift from their 5-item wishlist (how vicious? think "wow she's still glaring at me and it's june already")
however, 2006 is the perfect year to do it because:
(1) the 5-item wishlist usually contains your typical requests (i.e. something scented) and it's time that someone does something about it
(2) i've recruited some helpers - mainly my old staff
(3) i'm leaving this department.
as my pretty friends love to put it ... this is the best idea ever!!
