1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
Kissed a girl

2. Did you keep your New Years resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I can't remember. This year I want to go to service on Sunday every chance I can get.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not very close, but Mrs. Heimarck.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
My grandfather's cousin, Ida.

5. What countries did you visit?
Mexico.

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
A relationship. Preferably one that I won't regret.

7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory and why?
May 7th, date of my first kiss. In retrospect (and after a second kiss to compare it to), it wasn't unlike kissing a coma patient.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
You know, it's hard to say I've achieved anything at all really. I lost twenty pounds in a few months, but I did that without trying. I successfully got a girl in my bed (sleep, no sex) in a within hours of meeting her, but that's not something to be proud of. I think getting through my first semester without stabbing anyone in my suite is a pretty good achievement.

9. What was your biggest failure?
My failure to realize what Jenn was doing. Looking back, it's completely obvious, but I was completely oblivious.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing major.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Amanda Lynn.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Lizzie's. She's going for her dreams, and whether she knows it or not, she gives me inspiration.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
A few people. Jenn's, obviously. Anyone else I'm not going to mention by name.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Useless shit I don't need. Food, music, concerts, books.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Jenn. Yeah, didn't end up making me that thrilled.

16. What song will always remind you of 2006?
I Don't Want to Miss a Thing - Aerosmith. It was the first slow song of the prom, and Tom and I had just been discussing how much he hated it.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you
i happier or sadder? About the same
ii. thinner or fatter? Thinner
iii. richer or poorer? Richer

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Schoolwork, playing music, reading, going to church, spending time with friends, and late night conversations.

Bitching, sleeping, screwing around, focusing on Jenn.

Lolita. I was bawling by the end.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?

Lizzie.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Felicia.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006.
