I mean, uh, PC.
I just installed the Beta 2s of Microsoft Office 2007, OneNote, and Internet Explorer 7. All I have to say is YAY INTERFACE GOODNESS! It looks really amazingly good and (especially Office and OneNote) have just completly revamped the interface in every possible good way. Everything's easy-access one-click operations with much, much more control over your layouts and such. OneNote (which unfortunatly they've placed in the backseat it seems, which is ashame since it's the best application Microsoft has come out with in over a decade) has been improved and is even easier to quickly take notes and organize. The simple commands are really awesome, I may not need a Tablet PC afterall for awhile (though I'd still love to get one one day). The new Powerpoint themes (and the way you can customize the colors of the designs) and the style controls in Word make me jump around a bit. On top of that, the Calibri font is slick as hell, I am in love with it.
Say goodbye to the days of clicking "File" to do stuff, it's no longer there. I am incredibly impressed, everything since Office 1997 hasn't been anything to really say "That's cool" about, but this really is an amazing revamp. I think I might actually upgrade this machine to Vista Beta 2 in the next few days even, because Microsoft actually did something well. Mozilla Firefox is gonna have a run for it's money, I've been using it for a year or two now, but IE7 is pretty slick. We'll see what happens.
