Oh yeah! It's been a while, but I come bearing good news. I an the second best oil painting high schooler in the nation (or at least in the AACS [American Association of Christian Schools]). Alright, so I can't truly say I"m the second best in the nation, but, I did place second out of the top high-school artists from twelve states. That's saying something at least. I suppose the 25+ hours of work that I put into the picture counted for a little more than nothing, although it would have been better had I not ran out of time.
I know some people want to see the picture... well that's too bad. It's 15"x30" and thus, a little large for my scanner. If you know me personally then ask me and I'll bring it by sometime.
... man, for second out of the 400+ schools represented in the AACS you would think that the plaque would have a little more to it. =^^=
Along side that I finally got back from South Carolina (where the competition was), and got to see Courtney. She's been fighting a sickness all week and it doesn't seem to want to let go. However, when I left she was no longer coughing and seemed alot better. Laughter really is the best medicine, and no, I don't have to be a great comedian if I know where she's ticklish. Please pray that she gets fully healed because whatever she has is not an easy battle. I can barely stand knowing that she is sick and I can't be there to hold her close to my chest and keep her warm. (Should you be reading this Courtney, I love you dearly and would give up all I have to keep you from such pain. I'll see you again soon, and be there to attend your every need. Until then, realize that you don't have to do everything short of curing world hunger. Relax. Tons of love. and "Yerf!")
There's a lot more that I could post, but I have been rather short on time.
