Well, today is another slow day at work. I know that must seem like a good thing, but trust me, I'd rather have the hours.
I am currently hoping everyone made it through Katrina alright. Our power is out, and the same goes for the phone, so don't expect any calls for me. Bell South decided to give us an estimation on when our phone will be up: Sept 9th. Let's hope they're wrong. Also, the power company's automated estimation was 8:30 AM, however, I believe it lacks the ability to say what day it will be.
All this is funny considering that I didn't even know there was a hurricane until two days ago. I just hadn't taken the time to keep up with the news.
Well, with all this happening, I've been a little stressed. Also, not helping, is the fact that I have a big hole in one of my toes where my nail used to be. It was ingrown on both sides, so they just cut the whole thing out. It's certainly been a wonderful experience. =^^=
In light of all this, my mother was out of town, in decatur, in a trailer, but she's fine. Also, Courtney is ok, although her family won't make it on my "worlds most intelligent bloodline" list. They decided that it would be best to drive from the hospital to their house at 11:00 last night. That just happened to be at the height of the storm. How they're alive, I may never know.
Needless to say, I did overreact when I heard this. Courtney, I love you, and I'm sorry if I seemed gruff, I was just scared at the thought of something happening to you. I know you didn't have much say in the situation, but realize that I never want you to do that again. Your the person that I have built my life to obtain. I can't rebuild, and I can't lose you.
I'm sorry to all those poor pre-teens gagging out there, but it's true.
