1) Snape is Harry's real father.

Oh dude, that would be so retarded and yet make so much sense. If you do this, Book 7, I am so going to hurt you.

2) Super Dumbass Fusion. Like I said before, the only reason Dumbledore would let himself get killed would be to ensure that Snape and Draco live on, which means that stopping Voldemort depends upon them staying alive.

I think the idea is Snape has to live because he's really a key ally against Voldemort, and Draco has to live because he deserves to be redeemed but it otherwise unimportant. I'm banking on Harry and Snape teaming up to perhaps save Draco, further illustrating that Harry's a man and Draco's a boy.

3) R.A.B. does most of the work. Before anyone mentions that R.A.B. is probably Regulus Black, I heard you.

The stupidest thing is that if RAB is Regulus (and I'm sure he is), he's already dead so his identity is moot. One of the cool things about "The Tower of the Elephant" is that Conan's the only guy ballsy enough to break in, whereupon he meets...the first guy ballsy enough to break in, who shows Conan the ropes and guides him along before dying in mid-story, making both of them look cool. It'd be neat for Harry to team up with a total stranger, an un-Dumbledore-like mentor in the world of killin' Voldemort, and then have him die to increase the pressure on Harry. Instead Black's dead so I'd expect the mystery of RAB to end up like the mystery of HBP--intensely considered and then revealed as an afterthought after it stops mattering.

4) Anticlimax. Somehow, I'm betting this final showdown between Harry and Voldemort is a total letdown.

Given that Voldemort's previous strategy was "I keel yoo--oh wait I can't touch you without dissolving yeeearrrgh *ded*" and given that Harry is a dumbass, I'm anticipating Hogan/Warrior II levels of suck.

And I'm going to hurt Rowling. If Snape and Lily had an affair and you hear a twenty-something Finnish woman got arrested for trying to bitchlap a famous children's writer, that will be me. How predictable would that be? There's also the part about Harry looking like James, except for his eyes and Snape and Sirius both acted like Harry was James reincarnated. It's seriously messed-up.

I think R.A.B. and Mundungus selling Sirius' stuff may turn out to be important, because Regulus lived in Grimmauld Place, the house Sirius left to Harry, and in book five they saw a locket there. It was heavy and no one was able to open it.

You and large chunks of the fandom in general.

I think a Snape/Lily affair is pretty unlikely, given that the author thinks it's hilarious that anyone would be in love with Snape. There may or may not be a discounted rumor about that.
