I've been going all out, working on the Godlike campaign book. I started on Sunday and just cranked out as much as I could. I've gotten through most of the Omaha Beach landing sequence. Still need to write the part where the squad assaults the bluffs and the bunkers on top. I can probably finish that this weekend. I'm up to about 6,000 words. This part will probably top out around 9 or 10,000.
Then I'll do the hedgerow fighting, and then the assault on St. Lo, and that should do it for the meat of the scenario. After that, all the supporting info - history, equipment, organizations, GM advice and so forth. The whole thing may be 30 or 40,000 words when it's done.
It's a hell of a rough draft. Just looking at the stuff I've got down so far it's nowhere near usable. I'm kinda fried, working on it in the evenings after I get home. I'm taking a breather tonight, painting up some minis for the air combat game I'm doing later in the month.
Aiyaa, I got a lot of work to do.
