Bouncing rats
The rats are in a good mood today. Very easy to get them bouncing around happily. I am very thankful for this because I am freaking tired. Lots of nightmares kept me from getting good quality sleep. Hopefully I can find some time for a nap after the Comcast guy gets here.
I have already done some practicing for my presentation tonight in Marketing. Its a group presentation and I wanted to do better than the last time I presented. I do have notes with me though. I'll probably practice once or twice more before class tonight.
My novel is still going steadily along. I am just short of 18,000 words. I have a decent short description of my story - a mystery novel that examines what goes on in the head of someone caught up in a cult. It's specifically about a woman's growth as she deals with it and learns to escape it. I'm still figuring out the ending since the plot has changed into something much different than I originally planned on. Of course, I still am figuring out how much of the supernatural I want in it.
Rat training is interesting. I am currently focusing more on teaching Chessie to get used to handling. Rosie has always been comfortable with me and Dattas holding onto her, but Chessie is really skittish sometimes. Whenever I work on calming her, I make sure to give her a little treat to help associate being held with good stuff. It's working little by little.
