Two Types of Schools

Yesterday was strongly characterized by two types of schools:

1. School of Fish

My husband and I had a blast at the Living Aquarium with his family after we met up with mine for lunch. We missed the Utah portion of the aquarium, but we did visit the ocean and amazon sections. It was packed. I enjoyed watching the fish, which were a lot more animated than normal. Of course, this also had to do with the fact that we arrived around feeding time for most of the critters. They opened up a new area, probably just for that day, where they had 4 of the parrots of the amazon there. They were a lot of fun to watch. I almost got to touch the Madagascar Hissing Cockroach they passed around but Dattas' mom wanted out of there before it got near her.

My favorite part was the stingrays, not the new penguin exhibit (which by the way, looks extremely cramped for so many penguins). I learned last time that they can have very vibrant personalities and yesterday was no exception. There was one who swam right into a rock by the edge of the petting pool and decided it was so comfortable, it had to stay there. So I got a good look at how a scrunched up nose on a stingray looks like. There was also one who was quite insistent on getting lunch, so it kept flinging parts of itself out of the pool. One kid didn't even have to touch the water to pet it's fins. It also tried jumping a little out of the pool, nose first.

2. School of Business

Last night was my current group's first project turn-in. I was constantly online, refreshing the online learning environment so I could make sure if the person needed help editing it, someone was there. Thankfully another person from my team did the same thing, so when the main editing person had questions, she had two people responding to her. I also got to do some editing myself, which I prefer to do much earlier in the day, but oh well. Thankfully by 8:30 last night, she sent the note saying that she was going to post it and we had approved the final paper. Until that point, I was reading my homework sections for reading, so I got a lot done. I was very tired by bedtime.

*points over to her Refresh tea* This is my kick-start to the morning. Between the gunpowder tea and the mint teas, it will literally kick my butt.
