[For that brief half-hour, James knows she's outside, because he's looking at her through binoculars as he can smell her out by her mikan-trees.

As such, he's making his way over cautiously] Umm.. hey.

[She looks up sharply for a moment, and then gives a faintly surprised smile.] James? Hi.

You doing okay? [Don't mind her glancing down to check your ankle out. She hasn't seen you in a while.]

Y-yeah. I'm fine, no one's been giving me trouble lately...

[Don't mind him looking you over for injuries] Look... umm, I.. [He sighs] I'm sorry I didn't help you when it mattered..

[Oh, dear. This is the second person she's had to field on this, and her response is a little warmer for James than it is for Alexei. She'll quirk a grin at him. And apart from looking a little tired, she looks quite fine, now. ...maybe still a little thinner.]

You don't need to apologise for that. There weren't many people that could help with this one.

...That doesn't make it any better that I didn't try.

[He sits down in the grass, his legs folded neatly under him as he sighs] I feel really bad about it.. letting you down.

I don't know, James. I think that makes you smart. [Glancing over as he sits down.] Much as I'd appreciate the gesture, I'd rather you didn't get hurt for no good reason. Besides. You're here now, aren't you?

[Grumpy face] Yeah.. s'pose.

[He fiddles with his bag quietly] The trees are pretty..

[Grin. Oh so gracious, James.]

They are. Pity this place is the way it is. The scenery's really gorgeous.

Yeah.. Most of the people are even half-way decent. [Smile]

Has Kefka bothered you recently?

No. I don't know why. It's like I dropped off his radar or something.. [He shakes his head]

I don't think Kefka even knows what he wants from me, so his brain just sorta dropped it. But who really knows?

I'm glad to hear it, anyway. Guy's a nutcase.

Seriously... and no fashion sense... tsk.

Tell me about it. Guy looks like he was dressed by a colourblind okama.
