<3 I wrote a few thousand words on my bigbang this weekend!! and I had every intention of driving through a few more, being the long weekend at all, but I had a big night Sunday night and barely moved on Monday. Also, sound like a man I'm so hoarse ... oops.
<3 one of my friends was telling me that she felt, censored and alienated at LJ because her opinion was such a minority. which I think sucks and makes me want to be upfront with everyone on my opinion about Jared getting married. I don't believe in RPS-bashing. character-bashing, fine. you've got all the fodder you need right there. people bashing, especially when all you know about that person is who they love and what they look like. it's stupid and pointless. I don't hate Gen [pretty indifferent to her, actually] and this has nothing to do with that BUT. I think knowing Jared was still engaged in 2008, and in the space of, less than two years, got engaged and then married to someone completely different? I think - and this is MY opinion, no-one elses, I'm not forcing it on anyone - that it is ridiculous. I think it's ridiculous! I'm sorry. I hope they're in love and they are in love until they're old and grey but, seriously? Considering the fact she's not on the show anymore, it's still going to be another year, at least, before Jared's not in Vancouver, and from what we heard the issue with Sandy was that they drifted apart ... why get married? why? yes, I'm cynical with the whole convention, and it doesn't make ~sense~ to me, like it's the next step, and that is why I'm bias on that. but I do believe in love and happiness and togetherness and I don't see why you need to go celebrate THAT way yet, as if it proves something. as if it'll be the difference between survival or not. whether it's Jared or Jensen or jesus, a JONAS BROTHER, I think it's ridiculous. there, that's my opinion, take it or leave it :D
<3 I've been thinking about fandom. lo and behold. I have some thinky thoughts. A question for the flist: DO YOU HAVE A FANDOM THAT YOU DO NOT DISTINGUISH BETWEEN CANON AND [PERSONAL] FANON?
Okay, for example, Supernatural. A little while ago I did a meme in which you're asked, what are your three favourite things about fanon? I had no idea! I don't even know what SPN fanon IS. I read a story very, very rarely, it has to come highly recommended. HOWEVER, there are other shows - due South and MASH mostly - that I always confuse the two. Or I watch the show and I see something that has been explained through fanon, through meta or through the amazing stories that I've read. Or I stop and think, wait, did I READ that or was it on the show? Seriously.
I believe in the extension of the characters. I don't believe 'this is how it happened here' or 'this is how it happened after'. I just believe that it happened.
Do you have this?
