Just a reminder to everyone...

The USS Macchiato sails this Saturday!  We begin our mission on the ice planet of Delta Vega at the Crown Center Ice Terrace at 2:00 PM.  Trekkies on Ice!  Two hours of ice skating with your fellow crewmates.

It was a small but enthusiastic bunch that came together yesterday. mizuno_caitlin and I met up with ruisseau at tje Javanaut coffee house on 39th street.

We're barely 24 hours out from the first large-scale meetup for the Kansas City Star Trek group. To make sure everyone is on the same page, here's our last-minute summary and planning post.

Here's the idea:  I'd like to have at least one meetup before Thanksgiving.  I want it to be relaxed, low-key, simple, and fun.  I want to make sure that as many people as possible can attend, and that the venue will be conducive to everyone.  We've got folks in Lawrence, folks in Kansas City, and even someone out in Topeka.  ( Read more... )
