A/N: This chapter is... I don't know. I feel so happy about it. Enjoy ^^
FROM CHAPTER 4:
“You know, Seohyun,” Kyuhyun said, placing his head on her lap, “your best friend is definitely the most beautiful woman I saw in my entire life. I know I could get her, I know she will be mine, eventually.”
He then had fallen asleep.
“Thank you, Kyuhyun. I am yours forever.”
~o~
She had been acting strangely throughout the night. She cannot sleep, she tossed and turned, tried to drink water, still…
Sungmin didn’t know but she was feeling… weird.
She looked outside her bedroom window which actually was the same spot earlier. The marble bench in the garden. By tomorrow, her apartment is done and she will move out of the Choi’s mansion. She didn’t mind but she hated the fact that everyone thinks she will be Siwon’s wife in the future.
Well, she did thought of it before. But because of him…
Secret-oppa…
Kyuhyun…
Her math professor which she hated the most.
“Hatred turned to love is not easy at all,” she whispered to herself. She sighed and went to bed, trying to sleep again.
The next morning, she woke up past lunch time, like everybody else. But, of course, not the paternal figure of the mansion. He had gone already for a business trip to China after his son’s party.
She started packing her things. She yawned and stretched but was lazy enough to stand up again. Until her cellphone rang.
“Yoboseyo?~”
“Sung-Min-Nie!~ ”
“Huh?” She checked the caller and was surprised, “OMO! S-secret-oppa!”
“Oi, don’t shout. I just woke up. I really had fun last night.”
“Eh? Why?”
“Well, y’know, boys night out, et cetera…”
Liar, Sungmin smiled. She knew he can’t say the truth and where he really was last night.
“Ah, I see,” Sungmin said, “Was there… Was there a girl you liked?”
“Um, actually there is, but…”
“But?”
“She’s… very beautiful but really hard to get.”
“Oh,” Sungmin said, as she readied her suitcase, “So, is that all?”
“Um, how about you? You went to a party, right?”
“Eh?” She smiled. “How did you know? I didn’t tell you that.”
On the other line, Kyuhyun covered his mouth, supressing from shouting at the mouth piece of his headphones.
“Well,” Kyuhyun cleared his throat, “I’m Secret-oppa, and I know everything!”
“Really now? Or are you stalking me?”
“Ya, don’t say that.”
“Omo. You are, aren’t you?”
“I said stop it!”
Sungmin laughed as hard as she can, almost hitting her head at the bed side. The door of her room opened and it was the Choi’s driver, Minjeong, telling her that they will leave now. She mouthed an ‘okay’. He grabbed her suitcase as she followed him towards the main entrance.
“You’re not having lunch?”
Sungmin turned around and saw that it was Siwon, who was running towards her.
“Um, hold on a sec. No, oppa, I want to go now, and I have to finish some papers quickly, especially the one for English class, I’m sorry.”
“Well, okay then. Who’re you talking to?”
“Um, a friend. See you tomorrow, Siwon.”
As she got inside the car, she saw that Secret-oppa, or Kyuhyun, hang up the phone.
Seriously, I said hold on a sec and he hangs up.
~o~
After finishing unpacking, the doorbell rang. As she opened the door, Sungmin found her best friend standing gloomily in front of her.
“What’s up?”
“Sungmin,” Seohyun started, “I…well, look I’m sorry… But… well, you know…”
“What is it?”
“It’s… It’s about that Secret-oppa…”
“Oh, Kyuhyun?”
“Yes… I mean, WHAT? YOU KNEW?”
“Just last night. Funny that our prof got drunk at my favorite part of the garden.”
“Holy shit…”
“Nah, I’m cool with it,” Sungmin said, hugging tightly her best friend, “Don’t worry about it.”
“But… Look, he’s REALLY in love with you. When I emphasize REALLY it means REALLY as in REALLY.”
“Yeah, I know I get it.” Sungmin went to check up on the guest room for the newly painted wall and new bed sheets.
“But… you hate him, right?”
“Well,” Sungmin stopped, “As a teacher, yes, definitely. But, as who he really is, I’m having second thoughts.”
“Wow,” Seohyun said, dismayed, “You are one weird of a woman, my dear.”
“Shut up. Anyway, I’m still in doubt of him since I don’t really know what to feel or think right now about him. Yes, I do love him, but the personal touch? I mean, face-to-face conversations, one on one, heart to heart, those things. We lack on those things.”
“So,” Seohyun sat down at the bed, “You’re saying that if you talk to each other personally, then you would know?”
“Hmm, sort of. Maybe, I guess.”
“Wait a minute. Why is your apartment bigger?”
“Siwon had it renovated. And, he added rooms for his friends, Sunny, Tiffany, and Sulli.”
“Ah, them…”
“Well, they are Siwon’s childhood friends, so, it’s better that way.”
~o~
It was night time and Siwon’s friends had already arrived just in time for dinner. They knew who was Sungmin and they were indeed careful on asking about her relationship with Siwon. They were all envious, especially Tiffany, but they know everything so they really don’t want to ask.
As they were cleaning out the dishes, the doorbell rang twice.
“Be there just a sec,” Sulli said, running towards the door. When she opened it, she squealed. Sunny then ran towards her but didn’t do anything and just rolled her eyes. Sulli then stopped and just moved for the newcomer to enter.
“The fuck you doing here, pervert?”
“What the fuck are you doing here, midget?”
The newcomer and Sunny were still bickering at each other when Sungmin approached them. She couldn’t believe her eyes and was just stunned.
“Um, I know I shouldn’t be here, but I need to talk to you Miss Lee.”
“Y-yes, right, Professor Cho.”
“Really?” Sunny said laughing, “He’s your teacher?! My god, you should drop him immediately!”
“Shut up, midget,” Kyuhyun said with an annoyed face.
“Kyu-oppa ish mwad at me. I’m sho shad….”
“Stop the aegyo.”
“Anyway,” Sungmin said, “The guest room will be a good place.”
“Why there?” Tiffany, who just finished the washing the dishes, asked her.
“It’s obvious that he is staying for the night,” Sungmin said pointing at Kyuhyun’s big backpack.
“Well, as long as he doesn’t barge inside our rooms, it’s fine for me.” Tiffany shrugged.
When they reached the room, Kyuhyun sat down and took off his jacket. Sungmin just stood up, leaning on the door.
“Miss-”
“Why would you lie to me?”
“Huh?”
“It would have been better if you told me personally what you feel about me. Why set it all up with calls and whatever…”
“Do you wanna be expelled?”
“No…”
“And that’s it…”
“But… Why me?”
“I… Maybe, I’m a fool to not notice someone like you immediately. I should have taken a closer look around before going to what my eyes can see.”
“So, why are you here?”
“I’m here to tell you the truth because Seohyun told-”
“No. Seohyun didn’t tell me. You did.”
“Really? When?”
“Last night. At the garden, during Siwon’s birthday?”
“Oh, shit,” Kyuhyun looked outside the window, “So, it was you who I was talking to…”
“Yep. And, well, that’s it.”
“You’re not mad at me.”
“A bit…”
“Will you forgive me?”
“Maybe…”
“Why?”
“Hmm… Make it up for me.”
“How?”
“Just do something,” Sungmin said, approaching him, “since you are Secret-oppa, you’ll find a way.”
Kyuhyun held her hand and smiled.
“Okay,” he said, nodding, “So, good night?”
“Yeah, good night.”
“See you in the morning.”
“See you in my dreams.”
