This soundtrack is just...BRILLIANT! The movie is good, yes, Russell Crow and Joaquin Phoenix are superb in it, yes, it is heart-wrenching in all the right ways, yes, but the soundtrack is simply superb! It makes this period piece beyond epic! Somehow Zimmer has managed to convey heartache and hopefulness in the music, especially in that last burst of music before the movie ends.
