300 Favourite Movies: 9: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Lemony Snicket really is a depressing fellow, isn't he? One after the other the bad stuff keep on happening, but that doesn't mean I won't watch it all over again. I really like the way the story is told. If someone was to ask me to describe this movie in one word, I would say, "Black." Black clothes, black sets, black storyline. And despite all the bad things that happen, it is amazing how much hope there is after. I also love Jim Carey as the evil 'uncle'.
