comedy and tragedy
Some people are unbelieve-able.
So I've been trying out for the school play.
I say trying out because there have been a huge bunch of call backs. There's like a ga-jillion girls who were trying out for juliet. It's shakespeare and there's only like 3 girl parts so the Drama teacher is doing a reversal of the traditional thing and having the girls take most of the boy roles. I thought it would be funny if we had one of the boys cast as juliet, But I was outvoted.
probably just as well.
Some of those girls were foaming at the mouth.
I keep doing readings with this sophmore Jordy and with Eric. I think I'm being cast as Benvolio. at least thats the part she keeps having me read for.
Speaking of Eric....How is it that he's never heard of West Side Story? We did it as a competion piece 2 years ago in Swing choir. He went off on some tangent about how Shakespeare is the ultimate expression of all art. Has he never seen a musical?
He keeps giving me wierd looks during auditions too.
It was even weirder when I thought he winked at me, but I'm hoping it was _janice_
She' s been working back stage on sets and stuff. Apparently they are having final callbacks for Romeo today.
Think I'll go hang out.
Gee, I hope dad's ok with all the extra stuff I'm doing this semester. I didn't even think to ask. oops.
