(no subject)
righty well then.
i always seem to go a long time inbetween actual updates. possibly none of you even notice, but i didn't think a lot of people at annisquam knew or cared about me yet kerry was rattling off a whole bunch of people who were asking about me, people who i wasn't even sure knew my name. i guess that's a good thing. apparently i exist :)
i am kind of glad i didn't do annisquam this summer. i had a lot to do with my summer class and i enjoyed being able to go out on weeknights rather than be stuck at rehearsal. 'course, i was supposed to do chicago at ssc, but honestly, i'm kind of glad that didn't happen either. i enjoyed having the time to myself.
work is alright i guess. i got 'promoted' (more like side-moted) to PINK. that means i get to wear sweats to work...kay, i'm REQUIRED to wear sweats (or jeans) to work. downside: they're doing away with that which means i have to go back to wearing a suit. i really love working in sweats and/or jeans; i'm so much more comfortable which means i sell way more. (last week, our store sold the most PINK in the entire district!) but alas...good thing i didn't get rid of my blazer. that kind of would have sucked.
bought new jeans the other day in a size 6. i think the last time i was a 6 was about four years ago. now i just have to learn to eat without putting all that weight back on...
saw 'chuck and larry' last week. it was hilarious. it was stupid funny and intellectually funny and actually meaningful without really even trying. i've always been a supporter of gay rights and (even though it was just a movie) seeing two straight guys pretend to be two gay guys and realize how hard it can be on gay people was interesting. but really...it was so funny. it's about time adam sandler put out another hilarious movie. (i didn't see click and i watched spanglish the other night...good movie, but not his usual hilarious stuff.)
i've kind of started packing stuff up. i need to get some more boxes. my roommate is moving in today because she's getting kicked out of summer campus housing super early and is going to live in our place free in exchange for cleaning and stuff, so i'm going to slowly just move some stuff over there.
(did everyone know i got an apartment? it's in beverly on stone street and it's in a fabulous neighborhood about thirty seconds from the beach, less than a mile to the train station, walking distance to downtown, three miles from school...AND I CAN TAKE MY KITTY! marlie's got a puppy, too. we were stoked we could have pets.)
leroy said he'd help me move my desk, and lewis and kevin are also on hand if i need any extra help. dad'll be helping babci move in. yeah, babci's moving into our house. i'll be close by, though.
speaking of puppies, we got a puppy. her name is dot (i can't believe everyone actually agreed with me on this name--i was thinking of dot from animaniacs) and she's a mini schnauzer. she's pretty cute. also new in the house is pixel the kitten. she's a handful. but i'm taking rollercoaster with me, so there will only be three cats and a dog in the house once i'm gone. and babci will be home during the day, so dot won't be lonely. it's all good.
well, i'm not really sure i have much else to say. it's been a rough summer, but it's coming to a close and things are starting to look better. this will be my last year of school--after that, it's just a semester internship that i'll do with kevin at the peabody essex museum (almost definitely--just have to apply next summer! or spring, or whatever...) and then i'm done with school forever and i won't go back. (probably. watch, i'll end up eating my words somehow.) almost there!
