Valu Village so ticks me off!  They overprice everying in that store.  It's all second hand stuff, for crying out loud.

Saw a porcelain doll there today, that had a dress and bonnet rather perfect for Marion's more Victorian look.  The doll was not particularly well made, like some collectors' porcelain ones can be.  She probably came from ( Read more... )

what "furniture" did you get? i'm definitely gonna have to do a little looking around in anchorage next time... i think there's a value village there... need to find some little furniture pieces

It was one of those miniature display cases for trinkets - the kind you can hang on your wall, but it has feet too, and looks like an old victorian antique glass case. I just cleaned the dust off it, and loaded it up with all the little miniature items I've collected for Marion so far. The clock is on top, and the miniature porcelain doll is on one shelf, and all the miniature books are on the other shelves. It's pretty cute! I really look forward to putting it together with the furniture that's coming from eBay.
