It's been a while since I've updated. I thought about the infrequent updates of my journal, and I decided that having infrequent Russta-style updates is far better than my Livejournal being updated nearly every single day with random boring details of the daily boredom of Mifaco.

So, what has Mifaco been doing on the wonderful and lively server known as Bahamut?

After months of abuse and neglect of my PT members (by not giving them Madrigal), I have finally done the unthinkable and leveled my Bard to 75, with the added bonus of leveling without even touching a stringed instrument:

It was a long and hard road totally shunning stringed instruments; but I managed to pull through. There were a few close calls where my Finale got resisted, but thankfully both times the Red Mages pulled through and dispelled for me. <3

With my Bard at level 75, the obvious question is what job to level next. After a thorough investigation, this is what I have determined:

Warrior: S-E's nerfing club is looming over this job. No.
Thief: 36 levels of positioning, giving the mob free TP, hitting for 0, and generally leeching EXP off of every PT I join? No thanks.
Red Mage: One of the few {Princess} jobs remaining, but I'm unsure of its invite rate compared to Bard. I'd also run the added risk of being invited to a Paladin party more frequently.
Paladin: Recent update has made Paladins more viable, true, but they still need to be babysat. I'll have to think about this one.
Beastmaster: The last time I leveled this, before the BST nerf, I nearly cried at how slow EXP was. Every Divine Seal was something to look forward to. I think I topped 2k/hour max with this job...and with the recent MPK nerf, this job looks far less appealing than it used to.
Ranger: Wyvernpoacher Drachlox's constant terrorizing of Gustav leveling parties is a painful indication of how dead this job is. Why pay gil to do the same damage as everyone else?
Samurai: An interesting job. Need to get Soboro Sukehiro before I start leveling it. One to think about...
Ninja Requires major gil investments in food, equipment, and consumables. On the plus side, Mijin Gakure is a great exp-free deathwarp out of a bad party.
Drago-LOL
Summoner: Playing Cure bitch for another 75 levels doesn't appeal to me, but at least I'd be able to get the 3 wyrm titles. One to think about.
Blue Mage: An interesting job...it's very oddball and off-the-wall. I think I like this one.
Corsair: The new {Princess} job. With the ability to give Double Attack, MP, and Critical Rate +5000% to all PT members, Corsair's invite rate is cemented firmly in first place - tied with Bard, of course. The two jobs complement each other perfectly - it seems the ideal backline is RDM, COR, and BRD. On the downside, bullets are expensive. FROWNYFACE.

Any comments as to what I should level?
