Man, I love the idea of the chocolate chip scone. In case you aren't familiar with the pastry, here is an example of the components:
1/4 cup brewed coffee double strength, cooled
2 tablespoons heavy cream
2 large eggs, lightly beaten separately
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 1/2 cups baking mix
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup white baking chips
3/4 cup chocolate chips
1 tablespoon heavy cream
White decorating sugar or sanding sugar
When you mix these together in a specific way with stirring as well as adding and/or removing heat as needed, the product is basically a big chocolate chip cookie, but softer. But the best part is that the big cookie is called a scone, which sounds British and is considered a breakfast food.
It's the biggest scam the chocolate chip cookie has pulled on breakfast since the invention of Cookie Crisp, but it's way better.
I love them so much, I've decided to go into the business of advertising for chocolate chip scones. Some of my ideas so far are:
Eat up, fuckers! It's breakfast time.
You can't spell pines cone without scone!
A rolling scone gathers many followers.
Better not ab"scone"d with my scone.
