Ice Sux, Snow Rox
Seriously now. It's true. Could barely get out of my apt complex this morning -- there was a huge patch of ice that everyone kept getting stuck on. We had to push one car over it. That was fun. Some serious neighborly bonding happened this morning at 7:44 am, Central Time. Frankly, I could have lived with out it. But the snow is still glorious, so who's complaining?
I got new gloves. That was mega-thrilling. How utterly wrong of me to think that gloves are gloves are gloves are gloves. Got these kool North Face fleece thingies. They make me happy. Well not as happy as how I feel when I eat a fresh fig in Rome (yes, even in the sweltering heat...). But close! 8 days till Devil Wears Prada (DWP)!! and only 3 more teaching days left in the semester! I don't know which one thrills me more. Probably DWP, to be quite honest.
Oh, it finally happened: I lost a student's paper. I think I might have accidentally thrown it into the recycling bin along with a bunch of other geniune garbage! I had always joked that this would happen to me one day or another, and it finally has. Kinda embarrassing, cause I had to write the student and explain myself (used some euphemism, of course). ah well.
So what's the verdict on Blonde Bond? Hot? not so hot? hm....if I didn't have so much damn work to do, I'd be able to tell you myself! arrrrrgh. This JOB thing is really cramping my movie-going style. ARG.
