No more Corsica - can I get an Amen? We were planning on getting a new car in August or so but the Corsica (bless it's fourteen year old self) died on a busy street on my way back from running errands the other day and then again a few hours later so it was decided we'd start looking right away. I love my new silver ('scuse me, STERLING) 2005 5 door Elantra GT. We got a pretty good price (under inventory and got to use the rebate as a down payment) and it has leather seats and interior (even the side panels and console are leather which I've never seen before in a car under 15k although we paid 13,900 - they wanted almost 17 for it originally) , cd player, power moonroof, windows, locks and (heated) mirrors, keyless entry, automatic transmission, 25/31 city/highway gas mileage, and a whole bunch of other things that I've never had on my old beat up Corsica (but damn, she lasted - I bought it used in 1999 and it's still running, technically) like, oh, working locks, rear window wiper and a gas gauge that doesn't like to fuck with my head by telling me I have 1/2 a tank then four minutes later setting off an alarm letting me know I'm out of gas. In fact, this one has a trip computer that shows on the dash just how many miles I have left before I run out of gas - it's very nice.
What better six month anniversary present could a girl ask for? You know, besides an iPod.
