Happy Solstice!
It's been a mixed bag today.
There has been good news and there has been unfortunate news.
But, things in my direct world are good, for the moment.
This morning I started out by taking a very pretty greeting card I received from a business contact and turning the pretty un-written on part into gift tags. The card is just going to end up in the recycle in a few days anyway, so why not make something useful out of it.

And then I picked up an order of movies from the post office before heading to lunch with a friend. The burritos at Rancho Bravo are wonderful comfort food.
After work I need to scrounge up all my present wrapping materials and hopefully I won't need to buy anything new. I've had quite the stockpile that I've been working through each year.
Tomorrow is payday. *happy dance*
I'm off work Thursday and Friday.
Thursday I'll be running around doing my grocery shopping for the dinner I'm making on the 25th.
Friday will be spent making the sauce for said dinner. Need plenty of time to chop all the veggies and have it simmer down just right.
I'll also be partaking of my watch Disney cartoons all day while wrapping presents tradition. I have quite the library so trying to figure out which movies will depend greatly on my mood, but Beauty and the Beast and Sleeping Beauty are a given as they're my favorites.
I'm looking forward to relaxing after dinner on Saturday with friends. Not looking forward to all the cleanup from my cooking though. Now is when I wish I had a dishwasher other than myself.
Dear Santa,
Please bring me a house boy to clean up after all my cooking and get my apartment looking nice so me and my broken body don't have to deal with it. I'll even cook for him. Thanks.
