Random! :)

You know, it's amazing how much your perspective really does change when you start a family. Okay, Lowell and I were already a "family" before I got preggers, but still...when baby makes three, it's a huge adjustment. It was pretty overwhelming at first, and still is sometimes, but most of the changes have been so gradual that I didn't even notice them. Some things have happened lately that would have been a HUGE deal about a year ago, and they just aren't now. It made me realize just how much my priorities have changed, and how much *I* have changed. It's pretty refreshing in a lot of ways. However, I do let myself get caught up in baby-ness and whatnot, and it takes my dear husband to remind me that while baby Gabe is our number one priority, we can't forget ourselves, either. He reminds me that we're important, too, and we need to do certain things to maintain our sanity. It makes me feel good to know that he will be able to remind me of that when we're both sleep-deprived, unshowered, up-to-the-elbows in baby poop. I've always thought that a successful marriage stems from the fact (first of all) that the two people remain friends, remember why they are together in the first place, and remember that they are friends, and husband and wife, as well as parents. It's all about balance.

So...um...I left for a while and lost that chain of thought, so I'll just give some random info now (mostly about baby). :)

-I started insulin injections for my GD on Wednesday. It's not so bad, but my morning sugars are still high, so I have a feeling he'll increase the dosage. Oh wells, I'll do whatever keeps me and the beebs healthy.
-We bought a Jenny Lind changing table (well, his mom is sending us the money for it; it's our baby shower gift from her, albeit early) from Toys 'R' Us, so we now officially have our first piece of baby furniture. :D We'd better get on it, though, since he'll be here in a couple of months.
-I'm starting to get more and more uncomfortable as the days go by. It's getting hard to breathe, and my belly is starting to get in the way of things. Just tonight, I ruined my favorite shirt b/c I was cleaning the kitchen and brushed my belly along freshly bleached counters (aka not dry yet). :p Bah.

That's about it for now. :D

Take care, everyone. *love*
