Something on my mind at 4:30 AM

Our beer pong table is the shit. Amber went around diligently for two summers prior and collected almost a thousand beer bottle caps from her friends to put it together in the shape of stars and everything - and it looks amazing. However, she never bought the plexiglass for it to put over it because it cost too much money - so we really just used it as a beer pong table without the plexiglass. This was reallyyyy detrimental to all of her hard work, and it pained me every time to see this beautiful table get beer spilled all over it, see caps fall off, etc...it also somewhat became our tabletop, so food fell down inbetween the cracks of the beer bottle caps that she had painstakingly glued down. But she never asked us to stop using it as essentially the tabletop, never asked for anything...but tonight I heard her mumbling to one of her friends that we (as in, myself and our other two roommates) were supposed to pay for the plexiglass to go over it.
I'm sorry, but...none of us ever said that. Amber told me so many times that she couldn't afford the plexiglass to glue down, and that if any of the bottlecaps fell off she'd just glue them back on. She's taking it back home with her this summer, and I hate to see it go, because it was an amazing looking pong table...but it is almost to the point of breaking, and so worn down :-/ I don't blame her for taking it home with her, but it makes me very angry that she thinks that the other 3 roommates were supposed to buy the final touches of it, when we never even discussed that at all (and she mentioned many MANY times that she was going to buy it herself when she got the money).

Sorry, done ranting. Anyway, next topic...what's the best way to go about making a beer pong table? What kind of wood, appropriate width...etc. I'd appreciate the help, since I hopefully will get around to making a new one....
