1. No Zombies here. If I was home at my apartment, I would have uploaded Time of the Season or She's Not There, but no such luck. I'm sure you'll deal. :-P

2. If I read one more post about "writer's responsibility" please shoot me. (Or send Zombies to eat my brain) Seriously. I'm getting really tired of people telling me, even nicely, how stupid and ignorant I am, and how, as a writer AND a reader, I can't figure out for myself when something might squick me, when it isn't or might not be to my tastes or doesn't agree with my own morals and views - or 'society's' for that matter, because, you know, I'm stupid and clueless and obviously not a member of said society. No wonder things are such a mess out there in the world - the notions of personal responsibility and common sense don't seem to exist anymore. We're so dumb we need to be warned that hot coffee is  HOT! What about the responsibility of the poor victim reader? Get off my lawn, dammit. (/cranky)

3. Thanks again for all the HUGS and good wishes. I love my flist! I'm feeling a lot better today, and I actually slept last night, and not only did I sleep, with the help of wedged pillows, I slept on my side (and not on my back) for the first time in a month! Yay!

4. Hanging out with the kids is definitely good for healing. We played frisbee today (don't worry - they chased it, not me!) and then drew all over the driveway with colored chalk. Hannah drew a sort of booby-trapped maze/path thingy that led to a castle where she (Princess Hannah, and alternately her brother, Prince Joshua) was trapped. The booby traps included a lake where you had to hop across on the stones she drew to avoid the alligators, and nets you had to jump over because below was hot lava. The best though, was the "sekrit entrins" to the castle - and yes - she labelled it just so. I love that she's learning to read and write. She writes her own stories all the time! She's only in kindergarten so I figure they'll start to cover spelling a bit more thoroughly in first grade. Sometimes she asks for help, but most of the time she spells it how she thinks it sounds. Then again, so do lots of people on FFN. :-P

5. My sis and I might try to go see PotC this Saturday afternoon, if we can bribe my parents into babysitting, and if I'm feeling up to sitting in a theater for three hours. Maybe we'll go to the Commack Multiplex - it's old (was brand spanking new when I was in high school), but the seats are big and squashy. Hey - ragdoll - want to come with us?

6. I really need a pedicure. Desperately.

7. And I need to get my hair cut and colored. Almost as desperately.

8. I'm drinking chocolate milk. Made with *gasp* 2% milk and Fox's U-Bet syrup. It is divine.
