Happy Hallowe'en!
or, as it's better known, Happy steal your kids' candy day! LOL.
The sound of firecrackers is annoying all the neighbourhood dogs. It's not the quietest of evenings, for sure.
People are in the spirit of the day; I've seen lots of costumed folks out there, but the very best costume I've seen was not on a human. It was on a dog...a Chow (those big fluffy dogs with the black tongues) dressed as a pumpkin. It was brilliant; totally looked like a pumpkin on legs. I LOL'd.
I'm not the least bit interested in dressing up and going anywhere tonight. I'm staying home in my snug little apartment, where the ghouls and ghosts can't get me. Hee. Sadly, I don't have much in the way of candy snacks..but it's probably for the best.
I was out at the farm this afternoon. It's supposed to start raining tonight, and there's a lot of it coming, so we brought all the horses in. I spent some time with my two, grooming them and getting the tangles out of their tails and manes. Midnight in particular needed a lot of attention...he has a gorgeous tail, but it tends to get all matted and snarled. It turns into dreadlocks! OMG, he is so fat! has a butt the size of Kansas on him. I guess the grass is still good in the field, because that's pretty much all they've been eating up til the last couple of weeks. I'm going to have to watch that. Don't want him too fat, it's not good for his feet. He could dress up like an elephant and not need any extra padding!
Time to go watch Sherlock.
