General awesomeness

This is a very exciting week. I've decided that today is going to be part of next week, because today kicked ass. I will elaborate more on the reasons that today kicked ass later. Later as in, when I've actually had the chance to tell people about exciting things in person, rather than over the internet.

Everyone is coming home! Everyone who has been gone will be back soon. This makes me glad. I love everyone who was already here and everyone I've hung out with all semester, but there have been a few people I've really missed. And they are coming back for a little while (or a long while) and that makes me glad.

I'm also almost done crocheting a very beautiful scarf. That will make scarf number two that is finished for Christmas gifting. Very exciting. My skills are limited, but if I buy pretty yarn its harder to tell where my stiches are fucked up.

Last night I had fun times with Karlyn, Rachel Fry, Jenna, Becky and others. It was pretty awesome. Its not every day that you get a chance to be in a room full of totally awesome, ambitious, accomplished and amazing women. And last night I got to hang out with some of the most wonderful women I have the pleasure of knowing. It made my day. And, apparently left me feeling quite prone to alliteration.

Tonight I'm going to see Syriana. Someone told me it sucked, and it has George Clooney, so I'm a little suspicious, but I'll give it a try.

There are only seven days left in the "Days until Jason comes home and we get to see Brokeback Mountain countdown." Thank God for that, I'm not sure how much longer I could take not seeing it. (Actually, I'm pretty sure its not playing anywhere in San Antonio or Austin yet and I'm not really sacrificing at all, but Jason is abstaining for us, and I feel his suffering acutely. I won't tell you where ...)

So yes. Exciting times are ahead. Now if only Margaret Karshner were coming to San Antonio, all would be right with the world ...
