Scrivener Update: A Theory

Nov 02, 2010 11:26

After a few more days of using Scrivener for Windows, it appears the delay I mentioned occurs when I have either my browser or TweetDeck open as well as Scrivener.   This morning Scrivener was working like . . . not like a dream, but as it's supposed to, and it occurred to me that the software had not locked up the first day I used it either, and both days I had neither Google Chrome nor TweetDeck opened.

I'll have to experiment further to see if this theory is viable, if it is the browser or TweetDeck that is the problem, or both.  Of course my frustration will be great if this turns out to be true given that I frequently look up quick facts, spellings, grammar rules, etc. online while writing.  And Twitter is a great way to step away from the work for a brief moment and reset my thoughts.

Oh my dear dog.

Do you know what this means?  Scrivener truly is the best writing software.  Not only does it organize my MS and my research, but also disables my procrastination habits. (!)
