My favorite by far is "Let Me Fall". For some reason, just that second sentence is amazing... so sensual and tender. And the conversation is so poignant and beautiful and loving and in character for both of them. ^^ Sephiroth fearing that he'd fall again, and Hotaru willing to fall with him.... pardon me, I've got something in my eye. ;-;
Of course, I confess that I keep hearing Josh Groban's "Let Me Fall" in my head, so I'm probably totally getting the wrong mood/song here XDBetter to Have Loved was really interesting, just because I HAVEN'T ever thought of scenarios where Sephiroth would leave Hotaru like that (part of me read the drabble and said, "He's just pretending to fall again so he can, I dunno, save her or get closer to the real villain or something, right? Right? ;_;" I'll just ( ... )

"Wasn't I supposed to be someone
who could face the things that I've been running from
Let me feel, I don't care if I break down
Let me fall, even if I hit the ground
And if I cry a little, and die a little
At least I know I've lived...
Just a little...Let me feel...Let me fall
I've become much too good at being invincible
I'm an expert at playing safe and keeping cool
But I swear this is not who I'm meant to be
I refuse to let my life roll over me"

Give me a taste of what's to come
Give me a medicine,
Teach me a lesson, baby, I deserve to know
Cut me down to size and paralyze me
With the contents of your pretty little head
Give me somewhere else to go
Give me one thing
Tell me something I don't really need to know
I am so afraid of breaking what we've made
It is delicate and lovely, but it's a weight above me
And your words are like weapons
But you keep them inside, they cut like a knife,
And you keep it together
All those feelings inside, there's nowhere to hide but away from me
And I just want to listen to your words.
