All was quiet on the homefront. Out of boredom, a young man decided one day he would chase the ducks that hung out near a dock on a lake. He chased the ducks, and captured one by the neck. He held it up like a glowing, quacking trophy, and we all saw it, and felt blessed.
A teacher came over and, while the duck thrashed around, the teacher calmly explained that the duck probably did not like being held captive by its little, fragile neck. The boy calmly smiled at the teacher, held it up to his face, and snapped the head one-hundred eighty degrees around. He dropped the now still body on the ground and told the teacher that his time would come. And then we watched him walk away from the stunned teacher and laugh maniacally as a cool wind blew over us all.
Hot diggity, I’m a good writer. But good thing I made all that up, eh? He actually put the duck down and almost got suspended. But I am emailing this home along with a message that life on the outside is not all chocolate and unicorns (or chocolate covered unicorns, much to my dismay). Just thought I could spur the network to life with some creativity :D
JLSHFJKFHSLKF OH NO, I CAN HEAR THE NIGHT WATCHMEN COMING FOR ME. They'll be sure to be flay me alive while hanging me upside down by my big toes for staying up so late if they catch me...!
The great Matt signing off!
