Sometimes the excesses of sports contracts amazes me.
Take the case of Roger Clemens. He recently signed with the Yankees over the weeked to a sum of $28 million for one year. Well not really one year, but more like 4 months since his first start won't be until June 1. So he'll be making roughly $7 million each month he works. He also will only work 1 out of every 5 days. So really every mound appearance will be roughly $1 million. Wow.
I'm not going to go off on a "i hate rich people" emo rant because I don't feel that way, just making an observation that the following information about how much he makes every time he goes on the mound is pretty fucking mind-blowing.
