Thank you to the following people who helped me to celebrate my birthday yesterday. It was probably one of the nicest birthdays I've had in years. Jackie sexypumpkin is truly the glue that helped to put it all together, but so many other people contributed and I just wanted to say thank you! There was a sad and very scary moment when our dearest friend, Carolyn, shadownyc became ill. Fortunately there were 3 wonderful ladies (2 nurses and 1 EMT) who were able to attend to her until the ambulance arrived. After Shadow left with furriboots who was kind enough to accompany her, we finished our meal with a big birthday cake at the end, complete with a song and candles. I felt very special and I'm grateful to all who attended and made this a memorable event. Here's the list and if I've forgotten anyone, it's only because I'm a year older and having a brain fart. There were 3 other ladies who do not belong to lj so I can't put them on the list. Daisy, a good friend of galesweetie and bigj52 brought along 2 friends as well.

Thank you once again for everything. Please forgive me if your name is not on the list. It's five in the morning and I'm still worrying about Shadow and hoping she will have a speedy recovery. Life is so fragile and incident's like yesterday's medical emergency only reinforce the importance of trying to live each day to the fullest and grabbing the moment as you can. Don't put anything off if you don't have to. All my love and gratitude go out to the lovely ladies who attended, as well as all the other nice lj'ers I met at the picnic in Central Park on Saturday.
