Second Semester Senior Year kickoff post
This semester is starting off pretty damn okay. (Except for the first week of being sick)
I dropped out of my finance class ("information, intermediation, and financial markets" -- doesnt' that just SOUND boring?!) and am taking intro to world history with jen and steph. so i have that Tues/Thurs mornings 10-11:30 and then Business law on Monday nights 6-9. did i mention that I was only taking 2 classes?? ;)
other things that have been occupying my sweet sweet time: work, TAing (grading + useless office hrs), Out of the Blue (no longer doing any real work for it; just going and enjoying the kids), taking lots of naps, watching TV (first semester ever!), reading (for fun!), rollerblading, DDR (Heather brought back the game system,its actually a great form of fun exercise!), shopping for new clothes, hangin' with the roomies, game nights (boggle, this hokey thing, catch phrase, who Knew? - possibly the lamest game ever ;))...
oh yeah, and lots of going out/hanging with friends:
last weekend - thursday night went out with heather and cynthia exploring for new bars to go to only to end up at ciceros for a drink and some yummy late night food; friday night was lets start drinking at 6PM b/c that is SUCH a great idea followed by the cheesiest movie of all time (Dirty Dancing Havana Nights), saturday night was a surprise happy birthday thing for deepa (and boy was she surprised) followed by some dance club (bucca?) with cynthia, deepa, all her roomies, and some new people who turned out to be SUPER fun (including a boy from my chinese class who still remembered my chinese name!). dancing on the bar, free drinks, and hanging with a new crowd was definitely fun.
this past weekend - thursday night was movie night w. my fav boy ;), friday night was kristin's 21st bash at her apt, a quick crash of the kwur party at Matt/chris/Ryan/Steve's apt, and then dancing at Laclede's, Saturday night was out to the Big Bang (piano bar down at the landing) with my fav girl Jen who I never see out enough and some of her friends. it was packed and def lots of fun
i havent made it into the going out on sunday, monday, or tuesday nights mode yet, but i am up for new experiences :)
to all my whiny friends who keep complaining that going out costs too much or that they don't have time to ---- wake up. there's 3.5 months left of college. you have the rest of your lives to be poor and bitch, so let loose!!
